KATHMANDU, April 17: Tharu activists on Friday announced that they will launch fresh stir against the government’s failure to implement its agreements made with the Tharu groups a month ago. Addressing a press meet in Kathmandu, Tharu leaders blamed the government of ignoring its commitment to replace the ordinance for making public services inclusive and introducing a bill as it was in the ordinance. “The government has failed to end Madhesi hegemony in Tarai,” said Laxman Tharu, leader of Tharuwan Autonomous Council.
