KATHMANDU, Aug 14: Sipradian Sahayata Sanstha in partnership with Tata Community Initiative Trust and Tata Trusts (India) has rebuilt the school building of Shree Marming Secondary School in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-5, Sindhupalchowk.

Issuing a joint statement on Tuesday, the organizations said that the newly reconstructed school building was inaugurated by Arun Nepal, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of Province 3 amid a ceremony held last week. The school reconstructed with an investment of Rs 27 million has a modern layout resistant to earthquakes and designed with disabled-friendly facilities, according to the statement.
The April 2015 earthquake had badly damaged the school, destroying the classrooms, science lab and other facilities at school. “This well-furnished earthquake-resistant school building is having 10 classrooms, gender-friendly sanitation units, provision for the computer lab, science lab, early child development rooms and other basic amenities and would be able to cater to the need of more than 250 students enrolled in this school,” read the statement.
