KATHMANDU, Dec 25: A Tata Sumo jeep traveling from Kathmandu to Khotang met with an accident in Ranchi area of Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality-3 in the district on Wednesday. The vehicle with registration number Na 1 Ja 7181 crashed, leaving its only passenger, Durga Prasad Rai from Phedi Tomane, seriously injured.

According to the District Police Office, Khotang, Rai has been rushed to the district hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle has been detained for investigation. Further details are still awaited.
