The taskforce has addressed the reservations expressed by the chief justice in the nine-point agreement.
However, the taskforce failed to resolve differences on issues related to citizenship and formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The issues will be resolved by the top leaders meeting tomorrow.
Taskforce to work out consensus draft by evening
A meeting of the four major political parties Saturday assigned the taskforce with clearing existing hurdles in the formation of chief justice-headed election government.
The eight-member taskforce will now work on a consensus draft and will try to finalize it by today evening. CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal, also a taskforce member, said the taskforce is meeting at 2 pm.
The draft will then be presented at the top brass meeting. The leaders have said all issues surrounding the formation of CJ-led election government will be settled by Sunday. Top leaders from the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front were present in the meeting held at the army integration Special Committee secretariat in New Baneshwor.
