TAPLEJUNG, Jan 3: Taplejung has become a corona-free district yet again.

The district became coronavirus-free as two more people recovered from the virus on Saturday. 

Chief District Officer, Jharendra Prasad Chapagain, who is also the member-secretary of the District  COVID-19 Control and Management Committee said that the district has become a coronavirus-free district with the latest COVID-19 results.  

Stating that the coronavirus transmission is on the decline in the district, local authorities vacated the building of Taplejung Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Phungling from Sunday, which was being used as an institutional quarantine. 

Even before this, Taplejung was declared as coronavirus-free district several times.
