KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Petroleum tanker workers have withdrawn their protest programs from Thursday.
The tanker workers have called off their protest after the government assured them of fulfilling their demand within a month in line with the Petroleum Transport Regulation 2073 BS.
The tanker workers took to the streets after the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) made a stringent provision charging them double the market price of the petroleum products in case it was found lost.
With the withdrawal of the protest programs, there will be no obstruction in the supply of petroleum products, said Bhanu Bhakta Khanal, spokesperson of the NOC told Republica Online.
