Taekwondo team off to Thailand

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: An 11-member taekwondo team, including eight players, on Thursday left for Hong Kong to take part in the 20th Asian Citizen Taekwondo Championship slated for January 9-10.

Women players Nisha Rawal (8kg), Sangita Bashyal (62kg), Angila Yonjan (46kg) and Sanjila Timalsina (33kg), while men players Bikesh Bidari (68kg), Pranish Gurung (45kg) and Pujan Khadka (33kg) will take part in the competition.

Men player Kabiraj Negi Lama will vie for poomsae section. Norbu Lama is the team leader, Badri Ghimire the manager and Kumar Lama the coach of the Nepali team.
