Supply minister shown black flags

POKHARA, Jan 22: All Nepal National Free Students´ Union (ANNFSU) and Youth Association of Nepal (YAN) aligned with CPN-UML on Sunday showed black flags to Commerce and Supply Minister Lekhnath Bhatta during their protest against the increase in petroleum prices.



The students disrupted the roads for two hours. They have also demanded resignation of Minister Bhatta on the ground of the price hike. Police had to clear the way for the minister´s vehicle. [break]



According to SP Yadav Raj Khanal, chief of the District Police Office, Kaski, Minister Bhatta, who arrived in Pokhara to participate in the closing program of the Lekhnath Mahotsav, had to spend some time in a hotel due to the protest.
