KATHMANDU, Aug 28: The Sudurpaschim Provincial Government has decided to provide Rs 20 million for the relief and rehabilitation of victims affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.
A meeting of the provincial Cabinet on August 28, 2026, decided to deposit the assistance in the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, according to Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Minister Prakash Bahadur Rawal.

The provincial government has also decided to send a medical team to flood-affected areas to provide treatment to injured and sick people.
The Cabinet further appointed Gokarna Prakash Bhatt as vice-chairperson of the Provincial Policy and Planning Commission, with Gangadatta Joshi and Hira Chand appointed as members.
