Sub-Inspector Sikindra Prasad Yadav, 40, posted at Parsa District Police Office, was shot at around 10pm while he was returning home in Bhagwanpur-8 from office. [break]
He was killed at a canal near Telkuna VDC, 12 kilometers southeast of Kalaiya. A police patrol team found Yadav´s body at around 10:30pm. Jitendra Tiwari, central member of the armed outfit, owned up the killing on Wednesday.
This is probably the first time the group has killed a security personnel.
