KAPILVASTU, Aug 19: An unidentified group has shot a man dead at Sauraha VDC-3, Belbhariya, around at 1 am on Friday.
According to the villagers, Raju Mallaha, 28, was sleeping in his garden when he was shot in the head by the group. He died on the spot.

DSP Bishnu KC told Republica Online, that the group fled after shooting Mallaha. A police team under the command of DSP KC had reached the murder site soon after the incident.
According to police, the incident is being investigated and manhunt for the murder is underway. The dead body has been brought to Taulihawa hospital for a postmortem.
