The Indian security personnel have even started checking from the post, which has been set up at Baluwaghat in Parasan VDC 7. According to locals, the SSB men have entered Nepal with weapons and are unnecessarily harassing the Nepalis. [break]
The land on which the check-post has been erected is owned by Gopal Gharti. Gharti possesses land ownership certificate issued by the government of Nepal.
“Some 9-10 SSB personnel are stationed at the check post,” Narayan Aryal, a local, told myrepublica.com over phone. Aryal informed that the post is run under the Sumain-nagar SSB command of the Indian district of Lakhimpur Kheri.
The check post has been set up in between border pillars 197 and 196. The disputed Pyara Lake is situated 200 m further from where the post is built.
The locals have complained that the SSB have ordered them to vacate the area claiming that the territory belongs to India.
A team of Armed Police Force from Belauri and Area Police Office of Tribhuwanbasti has visited the post site for inspection.
However, Kanchanpur administration has made no effort to remove the check post. The DSP of Kanchanpur, Bahadur Jung Malla, informed that a police team has been sent to find the reality.
