The commission is entrusted with the responsibility of offering suggestions to the Constituent Assembly (CA) on mapping out federal structure of the country.
"We sought support from the prime minister to create an environment by providing sufficient logistical support and technical hands like GIS [geographical information system] experts," Madan Pariyar, head of the commission, told reporters after calling on Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai at the prime minister´s office at Singha Durbar on Sunday.
Officials said they also demanded that the prime minister allocate sufficient budget, provide vehicles for transportation, computers, furniture and other facilities needed for office operation.
Government last month constituted the nine-member commission as per the understanding reached among the major political parties to seek experts´ input in delineating provinces under a federal set up.
