In the first Twenty20, KCTC defeated Rayan Group by massive 123 runs and registered a 10-wicket win in the second match. KCTC won the toss and scored 183 runs losing eight wickets in the first match. [break]
Pratik Shrestha scored 45 runs off 46 balls while Leon Taylor scored 32 runs. With the tight bowling from KCTC, Rayan was restricted in just 60 runs off 10.3 overs. In another match, Rayan won the toss and was all out for 70 runs in 14 overs. KCTC reached the target of 71 runs without losing any wicket in five overs. Taylor (28) and Samarpan (21) were not out in the crease. Taylor was named man-of-the-match in the both matches.
Mixed result for Nepali U14
KATHMANDU: Nepal U14 Boys’ Basketball team had mixed result in its Japan tour in the completion of first two days. Japan Basketball Association (JBA) had invited Nepal’s U14 team to play a series of friendly matches against different U14 teams of Japan from May 25 to June 2. Nepal lost to Koiwa Fourth Junior High School team in the first friendly match. On the second day, Nepali team defeated Hongdai Fourth Junior High school team 51-36.
League matches postponed
KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) postponed the matches of the Martyrs Memorial Red Bull A Division League Football Tournament scheduled for Friday. ANFA, issuing a press release, informed that the matches between Friends Club and Bouddha Football club as well as the match between RCT and Koilapani Polestar Club were postponed for Saturday due to technical reasons. The matches were postponed because of the ‘banda’ that affected the valley on Friday. ANFA informed that the whole schedule would be pushed back by a day.
