KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Kathmandu Cricket Training Center (KCTC) picked up five wickets against Oasis Cricket Academy by the end of the day-1 to get grasp of the two-day match between the sides in the ongoing U-19 Himalaya Cricket League being held in Kathmandu on Thursday.
At the Mulpani Cricket Ground, Oasis was reduced to 44 runs for the loss of five wickets as left-arm spinner Surya Tamang scalped three wickets in reply to KCTC’s 190 runs in the its respective first innings. Roshan Pulami holds an end with a gritty 56-ball 20 runs for Oasis. Suraj Tamang and Subash Khatri chipped in with a wicket each for KCTC.
Earlier, KCTC scored 190 runs before losing all its wickets in 48.3 overs. Bipin Acharya continued his good form with the bat notching up another half-century. He scored 57 runs off 90 deliveries which included 10 boundaries opening the batting for his side.

Similarly, Rahul Bhandari and Bibek Rana Magar contributed 42 and 27 runs off 52 and 42 deliveries respectively to take KCTC’s score close to 200.
Sachin Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for Oasis registering four wickets on the day.
Sumit Shrestha and Aayush Baniya shared two wickets each whereas Sworup Shrestha chipped in with a wicket.Oasis will resume the second day on Friday trailing by 156 runs with five wickets in hand against the KCTC.
Both the teams had defeated Baluwatar Cricket Club earlier in the group matches.
The winner of the match will reach the final of the second edition of the two-day tournament and face Great Himalaya Cricket Academy for the championship.
