According to the District Police Office, Morang, 900 police personnel have been mobilized throughout the district. Large number of security personnel are on duty round- the- clock to avoid any untoward incidents during festivals, said Office Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Bishnuhari Koirala. Festival security arrangements are in place in coordination with the District Administration Office, other security bodies and bodies concerned. Areas sharing border with India are under special surveillance.
A total of 14 security squads are guarding banks and finances, religious sites and major corporate houses. Likewise, 14 different mobile patrol teams including five inside the Biratnagar Metropolitan City have been deputed under the special festival security plan. RSS
