BAJURA, Jan 8: Snowfalls continues to take its toll on the people of the district since Saturday. Those lacking warm clothes, children and elderly have been affected the most in particular.

In the absence of sun since past few days, days and nights are harder for the locals to battle chilling cold triggered by snowfalls.
As a result, local people hardly come out of their houses to work and other purposes while schools at 11 VDCs remain closed.

Transportations to the northern belt have severely been affected due to road obstruction by snows while the reliable way of ferrying goods on the back of mule in the remote area has come to a close.

Places like Saipal, Badimalika, Khaptad, Asi Saipal and Budinanda have received heavy snowfalls while Pokhare Lek has been under a blanket of snows up to five feet. RSS
