Six injured in Bhaktapur fire

BHAKTAPUR, May 25: A fire caused damage to three houses at Dubakot-9 in Bhaktapur on Monday night.



The fire broke out from the house of Kalu Shrestha and spread to houses of Ram Bahadur Shrestha and Kancha Shrestha.



Kalu’s house was reduced to cinders, according to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi. A fire engine, security personnel and locals saved the other two houses from big damage.



Six locals – Ratna Shrestha, Padam Shrestha, Champa Shrestha, Saila Shrestha, Santi Shrestha and Suntali Shrestha – were injured while dousing the incident.



Suntali, who has been critically injured, is being treated at TU Teaching Hospital and the others at Nepal-Korea Friendly Hospital, Thimi.
