KATHMANDU, June 18: Simrik Air is set to issue ordinary shares (IPO) at a premium rate. The company has called a general meeting for July 9 to approve the IPO plan. Once approved, the issuance process will begin.
The company will also propose issuing bonus shares to increase its paid-up capital. This decision was made during a board meeting on Tuesday.

Lately, airline companies have also shown interest in entering the stock market through IPOs.
However, the Securities Board of Nepal has halted approvals for premium and book-building IPOs due to ongoing controversy. Recently, the Finance Committee of the Federal Parliament directed the board to ensure that companies planning premium IPOs have a minimum net worth of Rs 90 per share.
