Simrik Air settles outstanding payment issue with CAAN

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Simrik Air settled its overdue payment of Rs 4.3 million with the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) on Friday.


The airline's flights had been temporarily suspended starting Friday due to unpaid dues and an ongoing financial crisis, despite multiple appeals from the regulatory authority.

Following the suspension of its flight operations, Simrik Air promptly cleared the outstanding dues for the fiscal year 2022/2023 on Friday, according to the CAAN.


Officials at CAAN said further decisions are pending regarding the resumption of Simrik's flight services.
