Simrik Air adds two new choppers

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: Simrik Air has added two new Airbus AS 350 B3e helicopters to its fleet. While the first, with call sign 9N AKD, landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on last Friday, the second has been scheduled to arrive Nepal by February 2019.

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: Simrik Air has added two new Airbus AS 350 B3e helicopters to its fleet. While the first, with call sign 9N AKD, landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on last Friday, the second has been scheduled to arrive Nepal by February 2019.


Powered by a single Turbomeca Arriel 2D turbine engine, the AS 350 B3e (H-125) offers increased reliability, decreased maintenance cost, and high versatility for a range of missions, according to the company.

Simrik has been providing air service in Nepal for the last 17 years in fields of rescue, mountaineering, sight-seeing, medevac, pilgrimage, cargo and sling operations across Nepal to a wide array of customers.


The company has expected that the new choppers would help it expand existing market and provide new travel packages.
