Shakya leads by more than 13,000 votes in KTM

KATHMANDU, May 24: CPN (UML) candidate is leading the vote count in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) by a tremendous, if not, an irremediable margin.

KATHMANDU, May 24: CPN (UML) candidate is leading the vote count in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) by a tremendous, if not, an irremediable margin.



The UML candidate, Bidya Sundar Shakya, has mustered 44,321 votes after the latest count of 132,886 ballot papers. Her closest rival, Raju Raj Joshi, of Nepali Congress has so far received 30,970 votes.



Meanwhile, Bibeksheel Nepali Party's candidate, Ranju Darshana, trails behind with an impressive 16, 061 votes followed by Sahja Party's Kishor Thapa, who has 12, 057 votes under his belt. CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate, Sarbottam Dangol, has received 4,974 votes. RSS
