UML leads NC by 5839 in Kathmandu Metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 20: UML mayoral candidate Bidhyasundar Shakya is taking the lead in the race for the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolis with 17,732 votes, compared to 11,893 votes for his closest rival Nepali Congress mayoral candidate Raju Raj Joshi. Shyakya is leading Joshi by 5839 votes.

Ranju Dharshna representing Bibekshil Nepali Party is in the third position with 6902 votes, compared to 5157 votes garnered by Kishor Thapa representing Sajha Party who is in the fourth position.


CPN (Maoist Center) mayoral candidate who has garnered only 2001 votes is in the fifth position.
