Seven of deceased in Tanahun bus plunge identified

DAMAULI, July 7: Of the eleven people who died in the bus accident Saturday afternoon in Madi River at Damauli of Tanahu district, only seven have been identified till this morning.



Those identified are Mahesh Bastakoti, 28, of Nawalparasi, Keshav Prasad Dhakal, 32, of Chitwan, Tikamaya Ale, 40, of Byas Municipality, Manu Thapa, 22, of Pokhara Sub-Metropolis, Aayush Thapa, 7, of Byas-11, former PLA combatant Hemraj Shrestha, 21, of Pokhari VDC, Khotang, and his father Laxmi Narayan Shrestha, 50, said SP Dev Bahadur Bohora. Of the ten injured, eight are undergoing treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital Pokhara and other two in Damauli-based hospital, said police.



The accident took place when the bus Na 4 Kha 4684 heading for Mugling from Pokhara fell 25 meters breaking the railing of right side of the bridge.



The dead bodies have been kept at Damauli Hospital for post mortem
