DOLPA, Feb 15: Four died in Thursday's Jajarkot bus plunge have been identified. According to Keshar Karki, chief of District Police Office, Jajarkot, Mun Bahadur Bohara of Chhanchu, Jagadulla Rural Municipality-4, Dolpa, Lal Bahadur BK of Tripura Municipality, Dolpa, Co-drivers Hari Bahadur Rawat and Sagar Bhandari of Khajura-2, Banke.
Lal Bahadur Thapa of Athbiskot-13, and Bharat Chand of Athbiskot-11 of West Rukum among those injured are critical. Thapa and Chand have been referred to Nepalgunj for treatment.
Four people died while nine others sustained critical injuries after a passenger bus, Bhe 1 Kha 1329, heading to Radi Bazaar of Rukum skidded off the road and fell some 100 meters into the Bheri River at Rimna of Bheri Municipality-1 in Jajarkot district on Thursday evening. The incident took place at 6:30 pm.

The others include Birendra Bohara, 21, of Athbiskot Municipality-6, Bibas Bohara, 24, of Nalgad Municipality-5, Panchakali Rana, 60, of Bheri Municipality-1, Jayaram BK of Barekot, Jit Bahadur Bohara of Dolpa Janadulla Rural Municipality-4.
According to police, 16 to 17 passengers were traveling in the bus.
Thapa has got his left leg broken while both the legs of Chand were badly mutilated.
The others injured are receiving treatment at Jajarkot Hospital. Break failure is the main cause behind the accident.
