“A large number of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (APF) personnel will be deployed in sensitive areas of the district to provide security to the prime minister,” said SP Sanjay Raj Sharma, chief of Sunsari District Police Office (DPO). According to him, there will be thick presence of security personnel in Itahari, as the city is considered sensitive in terms of security.
Chief District Officer Rabi Lal Pant along with heads of the district security held a meeting in Itahari on Sunday to manage the security for the prime minister.
District chairman, secretary along with six members will be elected by the second district-level meeting of the CPN-UML.
Security tightened in Birgunj in view of Prez Bhandari's visit
