KATHMANDU, June 18: Scrap traders staged a protest in front of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Office on Tuesday, demanding the resignation of Mayor Balendra Shah.
The traders' anger stems from an incident where Mayor Shah allegedly used a bulldozer to demolish their scrap warehouse. This recent protest follows previous demonstrations by the scrap traders, which began in mid-February. The traders have once again taken to the streets to express their discontent with the actions of the KMC.
