At a meeting with Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat on Friday, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Nepal Abdulnaser bin Husien Al-Harthi said the Saudi Arabian government will help Nepal in reconstruction activities. Similarly, Mahat told the Saudi envoy that a meeting with donors will be held soon and that Nepal was expecting grant assistance rather than loan.
Saying that the government has prioritized construction of individual homes, hospitals, government offices, schools and cultural heritage sites in a planned way, Mahat said Nepal was expecting great help from different countries and international donor agencies.
Stating that the Saudi Arabian government was ready to provide grant assistance to Nepal, Ambassador Harthi said that he will would with his government to finalize the support.

Similarly, Renji Tirink, ambassador of European Union (EU) for Nepal, also called on Finance Minister Mahat on Friday and said that European countries were ready to support Nepal and participate in the proposed donors meet.
Mahat informed Tirink about the impact of the earthquake on Nepali economy and the decisions taken by the government to keep economic activities alive.
