BIRENDRANAGAR, Aug 25: A roadblock was staged on the main street in front of the Surkhet bus park on Sunday morning over the issue of picking up passengers. Samyukta Yatayat initiated the blockade, accusing the police of not allowing their vehicles to stop at the bus park.
Both Hilsa Transport Pvt Ltd and Samyukta Yatayat have reportedly been pulling passengers onto their vehicles in Surkhet. The operators have been pulling passengers and handling their luggage roughly, exhibiting inhumane behavior. Consequently, police are deployed at the bus park every morning to manage the situation.

Despite the police presence, the two transport committees continue to use aggressive tactics right in front of law enforcement. Transport entrepreneurs have stated that a permanent solution is needed to resolve the ongoing disputes among transport operators.
The roadblock caused widespread disruption on Sunday morning when vehicles were parked across the four-lane road in front of the bus park for about 40 minutes. This blockade created significant difficulties for school buses and ambulances attempting to pass. Samyukta Yatayat claims the police have been selectively enforcing parking rules, driving away their vehicles while allowing others to pick up passengers.
