SAC has formed a subcommittee under CPN-UML leader Pradip Gyawali to study the status of historic weapons. [break]
The subcommittee was formed following reports that army´s weapons of historic and archeological importance were being sold to a foreign private collector. Another subcommittee has been formed under NC lawmaker Arjun Prasad Joshi to study and make recommendations on traffic management.
Similarly, while Pampha Bhusal of the (UCPN) Maoist leads a subcommittee to study the process and status of promotions and transfers in security agencies -- Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, the subcommittee under Pratibha Rana, a lawmaker from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, has been formed to study violence against women, Dalits and domestic helps.
