Sabita completed the distance in 9.93 seconds at the Dasharath Stadium to win the medal. Manisha Rai (9.94 seconds) of Laboratory and Sita Ghimire (10.16 seconds) of Amar Adarsha came second and third respectively.Meanwhile, Man Singh Bista of Raghunath Adarsha Higher Secondary School won boys' 50m sprint for blind by completing the distance in 7.68 seconds. Sunil Lama of Adarsha Saul and Shovaram Dangi of Mangal Prasad finished second and third respectively. Sunita Bhattarai (8.98 seconds) of Laboratory, Sushila Chaudhary of Mangal Prasad and Alisah Phuyal of Adarsha Saul finished top three in the same event for girls.
Likewise, Devendra Saru of Bahira Bal Bikash, Bhairahwa, won 100m gold for hearing impaired in the boys' section. Devendra completed the distance in 12.99 seconds, while Arjun Nepali of Dhaulagiri Bahira School and Suman Shrestha of Kendriya Bahira School finished second and third.
Til Devi Garabuja of Dhaulagiri won gold medal in the same event for girls as she clocked 12.99 seconds. Sanju Rana and Pushpa Khatri of Bahira Bal School bagged silver and bronze respectively.
Altogether 282 players are vying for 45 gold medals in the two day event which is being organized by the National Sports Council.
