Speaking to Republica, Jha said, "I joined Bhandari´s party to contribute in the promotion and development of Maithili literature and culture as party has assured me that they would work for the cause of Maithili."
She, however, accused other Madhesh-based parties of not being serious towards the development of Maithili literature and culture.
Jha further claimed that NMSP was a single party working for the cause of Madhesh and development of its literature and culture.
Meanwhile, economist Dr Haribansh Jha has also joined the NMSP.
