Rumor of ‘suspicious object’ disrupts domestic flights at TIA for an hour

KATHMANDU, May 4: Domestic flights at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) were disrupted for an hour following the rumor of a suspicious object at the domestic terminal of the airport.

KATHMANDU, May 4: Domestic flights at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) were disrupted for an hour following the rumor of a suspicious object at the domestic terminal of the airport.


All the passengers of domestic flights were evacuated to the parking area of ​​the airport after an unknown person called to say that there was a suspicious object.

Domestic flights were closed while international flights were operational following the rumor. A team comprising Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police launched a search operation.


The bomb disposal team did not find anything during the search operation, so the domestic flight services resumed, according to the airport.
