Ruling coalition instructs cadres to withdraw candidatures registered against agreement

KATHMANDU, April 27: The top leaders of the ruling coalition have decided to withdraw the candidacies registered against the agreement of the coalition for the local polls.


The ruling coalition, after a meeting held at the official residence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in Baluwatar, made a seven-point decision on Wednesday for collaboration in the election across the country and agreed to withdraw the candidatures registered against the agreement.

The meeting decided to withdraw the candidatures given by the parties against the alliance’s decision in six metropolises and 11 sub-metropolises.


A joint statement issued by the top leaders after the meeting instructed the lower committees to withdraw the double candidatures registered against the coalition's agreement.


The ruling coalition has directed the subordinate mechanisms to withdraw all candidatures registered against the agreement reached earlier by the top leaders of the alliance.
