Ruling coalition staged protests despite being in govt: Oli

POKHARA, Feb 25: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has criticized the ruling coalition stating that the cadres and members of the ruling parties have staged protests and demonstrations on the streets against the ratification of the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement while still being in the government.

POKHARA, Feb 25: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has criticized the ruling coalition stating that the cadres and members of the ruling parties have staged protests and demonstrations on the streets against the ratification of the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement while still being in the government. 


Speaking at the party’s program organized in Pokhara on Friday, Chairman Oli said that stones are being pelted at police forces in the streets although the Nepali Congress (NC) is in favor of ratifying the MCC compact agreement.

Similarly, Chairman Oli also accused the ruling coalition government of trying to shift the elections to a later date. He claimed that the political parties are scared of losing against the CPN-UML in the election. “The sleep and hunger of the ruling coalition have vanished after the dates for the elections were announced. They are scared and confused, not knowing how to move forward,” Oli said. He further said that the ruling coalition was formed to practice corruption.
