According to a statement issued by RSP General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, the Rs5 million will be provided to the government’s relief fund through the single-window mechanism.
The party has also urged others to channel relief support through a single mechanism to ensure transparency and effectiveness in distribution.
RSP committees, members and supporters from the central level to local levels have been instructed to coordinate with local administrations and security agencies and participate in rescue operations through the party’s Rapid Action Team (RAT). Former RAT coordinator Ashish Thapa has been given overall responsibility for coordinating the response.
The party has urged the government to intensify the search for missing people, immediately deploy specialized medical teams to prevent potential outbreaks of disease in flood-affected areas and prepare a concrete long-term rehabilitation plan.
RSP has also urged the public to rely only on official government information and refrain from spreading misinformation and rumors on social media.
