KATHMANDU, September 4: The general convention of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is scheduled on November 13-16 in Kathmandu.
According to the party’s office bearers, the party plans to conduct the district level convention by September 16. This would set the foundation for the general convention of the party which endorses the party's new leadership and policy.
RPP's senior leader Rajaram Shrestha said that the party has introduced a provision for the first time to elect general convention delegates from its active members.
The RPP convention began on Saturday to elect a new working committee of Kathmandu District. Candidacy would be filed today while a new working committee would be picked through election on Sunday. The RPP has already conducted its convention in 22 districts.-
