RPP, RJP joint assembly on April 8

KATHMANDU, March 16: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) are holding a joint national assembly on April 8 in Kathmandu.



Speaking at a joint press organized today in Kathmandu, RJP Chairman Surya Bahadur Thapa stressed unity among democrats. "Unity among the democrats is must in the present condition," Thapa said. [break]



Similarly, RPP Chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana cautioned that chances of Maoists using weapons in the upcoming Constituent Assembly elections are high. "There are high chances of using weapons," Rana added, "The Maoists might mobilize its former combatants too."



The parties have also condemned the chief justice-led government.
