Speaking at an interaction organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry here on Sunday, Thapa clarified that his party would prioritize economic agenda in the election manifesto. “We will promote public, private and people´s participation model for development,” added Thapa.
FNCCI has been holding interaction with different political parties urging them to agree on a common minimum economic agenda to be included in their respective election manifestos for the Constituent Assembly (CA) election.
During the interaction, FNCCI President Suraj Vaidya handed over the suggestions document to Chairman Thapa.
Vaidya requested the party to prioritize infrastructure projects like at least two storage hydro-projects, Kathmandu Tarai Fast Track, Nijgadh International
Airport and Mid-hills highway for the next five years. He also urged the party to put election for local bodies in their priority.
FNCCI has already submitted suggestions to Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist).
