There is rhythm to everything in nature. Be it the rivers flowing, birds chirping, or even the chaos we face in our everyday lives- they all sync in a rhythm. Artist Hari Om Mehta has depicted the rhythmic existence of archaeological and historical remains in his fourth solo exhibition titled ‘Layatmak Astitwa’. The presentation is on display at Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal.
The exhibition began on December 26. Mehta has explored the archaeological remains of various sites in Nepal and has presented the archaeological objects weaved in various conceptual works. The artist has presented objects and the beauty of nature in colors. He has further showed his interest and deeper attraction for the native archaeological and historical remains and the artifacts. His paintings reflect the glories of his culture, religion, history and the unknown ancestors.

Banshi Shrestha, art writer, acknowledged Mehta. Shrestha shared, “It is highly applaudable that Mehta is presenting the stone sculpture, pillar, terracotta-objects, and metal remains of the glorious past of his native culture in colors. Personally, I appreciate his intuitive-vision, intention, attitude, concept and finally his art-creations.”
The exhibition continues till Saturday.
