Ninth National Art Exhibition in photographs
In the exhibition, most of the artists have taken females, temples, lotus, animals, and birds as their major motifs depicting different emotions through colorful hues.
Artist Pun has showcased beautiful rural life in his paintings. In Rural Encounter I, using acrylic on canvas, he has painted men working in their field in realistic form using colors such as green, brown, yellow, and white.
Likewise, Mala has painted landscape but in surrealistic form where a huge hand painted in green and pink wearing golden bangle has formed a mudra that is surrounded by flowing white water, trees, lotus, lotus leaves, and a face of woman.
The color combination and the motifs used in the painting gives a soothing feeling to the viewers, making it a visual treat for them. Just as the title of the exhibition suggests, the artists have successfully blended traditional and modern art forms so that the art lovers get to enjoy the taste and flavor of both forms.
About the exhibition, artist and coordinator of the exhibition Roshan Pradhan state: “The exhibition acts as a link or a bridge between the traditional and modern art forms. And art should give a powerful outcome in the form of visual arts which can address the present situation of the world in relation with the artist’s mind.”
