CNP's information officer and Assistant Conservation Officer Lokendra Adhikari said that the rhino, aged around 30-35 years, was found dead near the western gate of the community forest.

The horn and hooves of the rhino are found intact, according to Adhikari. Preliminary investigation showed that the apparently ill and feeble rhino might have died due to electric shock in the forest, he further shared.

With this, the number of one-horned rhinos killed so far at CNP in Nawalpur in the current fiscal year 2021/22 has reached four.
