GULMI, May 6: The Resunga Airport in Gulmi has announced an increase in the number of weekly flights to accommodate growing passenger traffic.


Suman Thapa, Station Manager of Resunga Airport, said that the airport previously had three flights per week. However, due to increased demand, an additional flight has been added, bringing the total to four flights per week.

The current flight schedule includes operations on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. With the addition of Saturday flights, passengers now have more flexibility in their travel plans.  


Nepal Airlines Corporation has been operating at Resunga Airport since May 12, 2023. According to Thapa, more than 800 passengers have used the airport’s services across about 70 flights over the past year.


The current airfare for a flight from Gulmi to Kathmandu is Rs 7,080, while the fare from Kathmandu to Gulmi is Rs 7,280.
