KATHMANDU, Jan 8: A demo flight is scheduled to take place today at the Resunga Airport in Simichour, Resunga Municipality of Gulmi. In celebration of this event, the Resunga Municipal Office will be closed for the holiday.
Chief Administrative Officer of Resunga Municipality, Hari Prasad Aryal, has mentioned that all services of the municipality will be closed today as they are going to conduct a test flight at the airport in coordination with the municipality.
Tara Air will be conducting a demonstration flight on Sunday at 10:30 am, using a TwinOtter aircraft which will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport and fly to Gulmi according to the airline company.

Tara Air's TwinOtter aircraft will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport to Gulmi. According to the airline company, Tara Air will conduct a demo flight on Sunday at 10:30 am.
MP Chandra Bhandari, Gokarn Bishta and other leaders elected from Gulmi district will be on board the flight. Also, UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali, CPN United Socialist Secretary Ramkumari Jhankri will also be on the ship. Officials of Tara Air and Nepal Civil Aviation Authority will also be on board.
This flight will stay at Resunga Airport for about 1 hour. Then I will return to Kathmandu again.
Spokesperson for Yeti Airlines, Sudarshan Bartuala, has stated that following the demonstration flight on Sunday, the process for implementing regular flights will begin. It is expected to take at least two weeks for regular flights to start. Tara Air will initially operate flights to this airport in conjunction with the local government
