KATHMANDU, Jan 6: A demo flight will be conducted on Sunday at Resunga Airport after the construction of the airport was completed recently.
Tara Air's Twin Otter aircraft will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport to Gulmi. This aircraft will take 50 minutes to reach Gulmi from Kathmandu. According to the airline company, Tara Air will conduct a demo flight on Sunday at 10:30am.

MPs Chandra Bhandari and Gokarna Bista, elected from Gulmi district, will be onboard the aircraft. Besides, UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali, CPN (United Socialist) Party Secretary Ram Kumari Jhakri will also be on the aircraft.
Officials of Tara Air and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) will also be on board the aircraft. Only 18-seat capacity aircraft can go here. This aircraft will stay at Resunga Airport for about 1 hour. Then it will return to Kathmandu again.
According to Yeti Airlines Spokesperson Sudarshan Bertaula, the process for regular flights will be started after the demo flight on Sunday. It will take at least two weeks to start the regular flights. Tara Air will fly to this airport in coordination with the local government.
