KATHMANDU, Jan 5: Local residents of the Kathmandu Valley have thronged the Election Commission at Jamal in Kathmandu to register their voting id. As per the proposal of the Election Commission submitted to the government, the local level election is set to start soon.
As per the preparations, registration of voters above the age of 16 and those having citizenship are being carried out in all district and area administration offices. According to the Election Commission, the first phase of the voter id collection program has been completed at the rate of 10 days at the local level in the Himalayan and hilly districts and 15 days at the local level in other districts.

Those who have not registered their names even after the completion of the program at their local level will be able to do so from the place of their choice between the election office, district administration, and designated area administration offices.
