KATHMANDU, Dec 27: World Sanitation Activists have started a month-long Ranipokhari Cleanliness Campaign.
The activists have started a month-long Ranipokhari cleanliness campaign from December 19 to January 18. “The activists have been conducting sanitation programs around Ranipokhari, Bhotahiti, Mahendra Salik and Jamal Chowk three times a day,” said World Sanitation Activist Raj Man Manav.

He said that the Kathmandu Metropolitan City has been managing the garbage of the Kathmandu Valley since it became a metropolis in 2015 BS but the work has not been done properly. Activist Manav said that they have started a month-long campaign from 6 to 9 in the morning, 11 to 4 in the afternoon and 8 to 11 at night.
Similarly, the construction work in the area around Ranipokhari has reached the final stage. The entrance of Ranipokhari, ticket counter and toilets are being constructed. Similarly, the construction work of pavilions including roundabouts in Shantivatika area has reached the final stage.
