Rainfall across the country, to continue Monday as well

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: The country experienced unexpected rainfall on Sunday due to the impact of the phailin cyclone in the Bay of Bengal.



The impact is likely to stay until Monday and thereby the downpour will be experienced tomorrow as well, except in the far western region, according to Weather Forecasting Division.[break]



The eastern region today experienced heavy rainfall while it was lighter in the central and western part of the country. Rain continued to pour as of this evening.



Rainfall began in the eastern and mid-western region since early morning today and began in the central regional too in the afternoon, according to meteorologist Min Kumar Aryal.



The impact of the cyclone will continue until Tuesday and the weather will improve from the afternoon the same day, said Aryal.



The minimum temperature of Kathmandu today was between 15 to 16 degree celsius and maximum 20.1 degree celsius.
