KATHMANDU, May 27: Light and moderate rainfall is expected to last for the next three days, according to Nepal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA). Most parts of the country will see rainfall till Saturday.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecasted that heavy rains will occur in Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province.

The authority has warned people to remain vigilant as rainfall can trigger floods and landslides.
“There is a possibility of rain, thunderstorm and strong wind in plains of Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province and Lumbini Province,” NDRRMA said in a statement.
Similarly, high hilly areas of Gandaki Province, Bagmati Province and Province 1 could see snowfall and rain for the next three days.
The NDRRMA has directed the concerned authorities to call back mountaineers on expeditions due to bad weather.
