Rabi Lamichhane's judicial remand extended for five more days

Judge Chandra Kanta Paudel issued the order on Thursday after the District Police Office, Kaski, requested a nine-day extension for further investigation.

KATHMANDU, Dec 12:  The Kaski District Court has approved the extension of custody of the chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane for an additional five days.

Judge Chandra Kanta Paudel issued the order on Thursday after the District Police Office, Kaski, requested a nine-day extension for further investigation. Former Home Minister Lamichhane is being investigated for involvement in a cooperative fraud case. He was arrested in Kathmandu on October 18 and has already provided statements in multiple cities, including Pokhara, Butwal, Birgunj, Bharatpur, and Kathmandu, regarding alleged embezzlement from various cooperatives.
